Organisation and Structure

Meath Women’s Refuge and Support Services is commissioned by Tusla, the Child and Family Agency to provide supports to women and children affected by Domestic Abuse in Co. Meath.

Our organisation is overseen by a board of directors and the day to day management of the organisation is undertaken by a manager.

We have three main areas of work, namely: emergency refuge accommodation for women and children, outreach service in the community including the courts, group programmes and one to one supports and finally our children and young people’s programme.

We also manage a 24 hour helpline. In addition we provide a range of theraputic services, namely: one to one counselling for women who are using our service; art therapy for women in our service and play therapy for children referred through our children’s worker.

All our theraputic supports are resourced through our fundraising activities and donations.
